About Us
For the past four years, we have come together and organized The People's Holiday Fundraiser in solidarity with families who have been impacted by the criminal injustice system. Collectively, our efforts have raised over $150,000 for families across the country! With the support of our community, we're hoping to spread even more love this year by again sending $250 to families during the holiday season. James Baldwin once wrote "I do not claim that everyone in prison here is innocent, but I do claim that the law, as it operates, is guilty, and that the prisoners, therefore, are all unjustly imprisoned." According to the ACLU, over 2 million people are in jail or prison today. Even more, there are more than 7 million kids who have or had a parent in prison. Many kids with incarcerated parents suffer from stigma and shame. But we strive to remind them that the indictment is not of them but of the system.

Our Goal
The People's Holiday Fundraiser stands with the children and families of incarcerated parents. Together, our goal is to raise and distribute money to families affected by the system using our local ties to grassroots organizations in several cities across America.
